Tracy Janssen EA

Tracy is the founder of Symphony Business Services. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. She spent more than a decade working in the health and life insurance industry and an equal amount of time in engineering and construction.

Tracy has extensive experience in the following:

* Accounting for insurance commissions

* Engineering/construction accounting

* Job costing

* Operations management

* Contract negotiation

* Human resources

Tracy’s love for accounting started when she was a teenager. After Tracy had joined the workforce, she was always intrigued by the demands of running a business.

In 2010, she began the first steps to venture out on her own. In 2012, she took the plunge and walked away from a steady, salaried job. She hasn’t looked back since. Tracy’s bookkeeping business did not originally include tax services, but due to high demand; she ultimately decided to tack on tax support.

To further her tax studies, Tracy has since gone on to become an Enrolled Agent. An EA status is the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service awards. They are the only federally-licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers. In addition to preparing simple and more complex tax returns, As an EA, Tracy can represent taxpayers before the IRS in matters of audit and collections. She can also create a tax strategy for individuals, partnerships, corporations, etc. She has represented several individuals and small businesses before the IRS. Because of her EA status, she has been able to go on and become an NTPI Fellow® — taking on additional training focused on assisting taxpayers with audit and collections matters, which is available only to the nation’s top tax practitioners.

In her free time, Tracy enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family. She has a love of learning and continues to build on her knowledge for business solutions regarding tax filing, preparation, and management.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer is a great asset and integral part of the Symphony Business Services team. She grew up in the ever-expanding Las Vegas, Nevada. Jennifer graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

After decades of administrative assistant experience for various accounting departments, she now takes on a number of tasks with Symphony as a bookkeeper and assists with taxes each year. She swears by internal and external customer service and views each situation from different angles to achieve the best possible solution to every challenge. She’s been exposed to several levels of business administration. Jennifer continues expanding her business knowledge through tax classes to help prepare tax returns.  ​Every year, Jennifer completes the IRS AFSP (Annual Filing Season Program) which requires continuing education and testing in Federal Tax Law, Federal Tax Updates, and Ethics.

It’s Jennifer’s desire to experience more in life that helps her natural ability to adapt and learn. That desire stems from her love of traveling. As she has visited various cities around the world, she developed a love for different cultures and their habits. Not only did her curiosity fuel more trips, it fueled her passion. She found herself enamored by every city and town she visited.

​Jennifer wears many other hats in life, too. Not only is she a hard worker, she is a wife and a mother to a busy child and three fur babies. Wanting to spend more time with her family is what drove her away from a traditional desk job. Despite her joy being with her loved ones, her strong work ethic is hard to suppress. She eagerly returned to the workforce, part-time in addition to running her own successful, pet-sitting service. She is always excited to help wherever she is needed.
