Tracy Janssen

Tracy is the founder of Symphony Business Services. Tracy graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She worked in the life & health insurance industry for 11 years. Tracy also worked in engineering & construction for 11 more years before starting her firm. She has extensive experience in accounting for insurance commissions, engineering & construction accounting, job costing, operations management, contract negotiation, and human resources.

Tracy’s love for accounting started when she was a teenager, and after Tracy had joined the workforce, she was always intrigued with the demands of running a business. In 2010, Tracy decided to venture out on her own. In 2012, she took the plunge and walked away from a steady salaried job. Tracy hasn’t looked back since! Tracy’s bookkeeping business did not include tax services. Tracy decided to add tax support to her services.

In continuing her tax studies and practice, Tracy went on to become an Enrolled Agent. As an Enrolled Agent Tracy can advise, represent and prepare tax returns and create a financial strategy for individuals, partnerships, corporations and more. An Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Tracy has represented individuals, small businesses and large companies before the Internal Revenue Services. During Tracy’s free time, her hobbies are hiking and reading. Also, she has a love for learning new things, and she continues to build on new knowledge for business solutions regarding tax filing, preparation, and management.

Angi Langley

Angi is very knowledgeable of accounting principles and is a full charge bookkeeper with over 40 years of experience.  After 30 years managing the bookkeeping department of a famous destination retail establishment located in Rapid City, South Dakota Angi retired.  During her tenure, Angi guided the bookkeeping department from handwritten journals and ledgers to computerized accounting.  Her bookkeeping skills include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Inventory Management.  She is proficient in payroll taxes and sales tax. It wasn’t long after Angi retired that Symphony Business Services began to grow its book of business and offered her an opportunity to join the team and work part-time.  Angi was also asked to return to the retail establishment when the bookkeeper gave notice and now works part-time. Semi-retired with two part-time jobs, Angi enjoys traveling to visit her children, grandchildren, and siblings.  Angi and her husband have four children and six grandchildren.  Her hobbies include the camaraderie and service work of her sorority.  Angi is family oriented, down to earth and loved by everyone.

Lisa VanderVeen

Lisa moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2006 from Colorado Springs, CO. She graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. While attending UNLV, she was a non-traditional student working a full-time job as well as taking care of an elderly parent. Lisa is experienced and knowledgeable in construction administration accounting, property management accounting and e-commerce accounting. She is always up for a challenge and an opportunity to learn something new. She has three children, one granddaughter, and one grandson. She likes to go on motorcycle rides with her husband, hiking, and she is a foodie at heart and a gym rat.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer grew up in ever expanding Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Jennifer began traveling at a young age, visiting various cities across the country and abroad; she then developed a passion for observing different cultures and their habits to gain and understanding of how people think. As her passion and curiosity grew, it fueled more trips. Jennifer found herself impressed with every city and town she had visited.

This experience has prepared Jennifer for a bigger picture and work style mentality that she applies daily. Internal and external customer service is her motto, and she views each situation from alternative angles to achieve the most optimal solution. Throughout ten years of administrative assistant experience for accounting departments, Jennifer has been exposed to and absorbed many facets and levels of business administration. Her natural ability to adapt to new learning opportunities comes from her desire to experience more in life and apply herself whenever needed.

A wife as well as a mother to a busy toddler and three furry babies, Jennifer recently decided to steer away from a traditional desk job to spend more time with her family. Despite her joy being with her loved ones, a strong work ethic is hard to suppress, so she has returned to the workforce by taking on part-time responsibilities. She recently started a pet sitting service to help other “fur baby” parents search for high-quality pet care sitters so they can have peace of mind away from home.

Jennifer has joined Symphony’s team as a bookkeeper. With her experience aiding in accounting administration, not to mention her work ethic, Jennifer will expand her knowledge by taking tax classes to help prepare some of the easier tax returns. Jennifer’s adaptability, positive attitude, and enthusiasm make her a great addition to the Symphony Business Services team.
